Ermitage Sainte-Marthe.

Impressive country cottage with pastel colored natural stone columns and wall elements and three prominent, characteristic German Black Forest clay tiled roofs called “Krüppelwalmdach”, implemented for the first time in Costa Rica. The particular half-round shaped house distribution with five rectangular pavilions linked to each other by triangular connecting elements revives the idea of ancient Greek theatres overlooking the mountainous tropical landscape. The front staircase and garden terraces are a rustic version of the terraced entrance to Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam near Berlin.
